So I have two 9 inch Sally’s. Their tank is nice and roomy and all, but I would really like to let them outside for a little while everyday. They WOULD be supervised, and they will NOT be kept in here for any longer then 1 hour per day. The point in this would be for them to have a feel of nature, to crawl through the grass after bugs, and jump around, exercise, be exposed to sun ain, and to have more freedom. I will admit that I have limited resources, and I am not the most skilled carpenter around.. However I did attempt to build a small enclosure to resemble the type of enclosure to suit the purposes above. With some wood, nails, net and a little duct tape I finished. It’s not the most beautiful establishment on earth, but it’s safe. It’s somewhat small, and lacks the space I envisioned. So does anyone have any idea’ssuggestions to how I can build one easily? It’s for the sally’s! Thanks.(: |

I think if you made a pig trough sort of wood enclosure (2x8’s) about 36"-48" long and 18"- 24" wide that would be covered with screen. And have plenty of water and moist moss and soils...maybe a small pond. You could have a great time watching them outside for hours at a time...as long as they have sunny and shady areas to thermo-regulate. Cp |
