they are so cute...i wish i was able to have something like that...Cant have stuff like that in vegas tho...my boyfriend lives in TX and has a few..very small..06 babies...wheni move there next summer i hope to be able to have one of my own, for now i just read about them...learn what i can
anyways...beautiful babies.

I dont think he sells to minors, you have to be at least 18 to buy one from almost any breeder or dealer but if you do alot of research you could just let your parents buy it but it can still be yours and when you turn 18 it will be in your name, I am not against minors having crocodilians as long as they are supervised by someone over 18 that has done the research and you too should do research of course if you havent already done that and plan on building a big enough safe enclosure and all that good stuff, if you was over 18 I would tell you the website to look at and other websites but I’m sure you will find them anyways but have your parents be the owners until you turn 18 if you really feel you are ready for one, I dont know how old you are now but the caiman should have some size by the time your 18 and just to let you know, (you have to build your life around it and set many things aside for your crocodilian) you really have to sacrifice alot no joke, and the bigger they get the more your life revolves around your animal, and it can be hard when you get older to find a girl that exepts your ready made family lol So maybe they should have (the reptic singles romance site) lol hooking up people with (ready made familys) with others who have you know...pets lol

well right now im 15 and i love reptiles i thing they are much better than any othr kind of pet right now i just have two iguanas and there doing fine i got them this year. but i like having pets and ive wanted an caiman for a long while just my parents just now gave me permission. but any ways would you give me those links i need to do more research but i dont know any one around here to talk to for sites but ive found a couple. thanks

The majority of people on this forum will tell you forget it and they have good reason to say that but I am a little more optimistic, if your parents want to buy it and supervise you until you are 18 I guess thats ok, you wouldnt be the first young adult to have a crocodilian and do well with it, It would be a good idea, a must, to build the enslosure before you get the caiman. The ones that guy sells are specticaled caiman they get up to 8 feet long and all caimans love to bite ALOT.......Dwarf caiman get about 3 to 4 feet, maybe 5 and try to bite everytime you even act like you are gonna touch it or pick it up, they dont tame out as time goes on either. Have your parents look at the websites with you and do the research with you and print out the facts for them, I personally believe that it doesnt matter if you start out with a cat or a gold fish or a gator, There are some people who start out big and do fine but some may say get a Nile Monitor, they get as big as dwarf caiman and can get a little bigger and bite alot too, the reason they are popular as pets is becuase they require less space and dont get really big.
Dwarf caiman take a while to grow to a full 3 to 4 or 5 feet so you would have time to get adapted, the can take up to 10 years to get fully grown, sometimes less. they are not that bad, I would just use some thick gloves if you have to pick one up, they bite fast and if you touch the tail they can swing around and get you before you know it. But if your parents are willing to be the actually owners then look up golizards on the net (and dont steal your parents credit card either.......They dont like to be handled though if you want something to handle, get a Savannah Monitor......They grow to be about 3 or 4 feet.......

hey thanks ive always been good with animals and i love reptiles and now maybe ill get the one i want. but my parents know how mean they can be thats why i will have a enclosure that is finced with a lock that only me and my parents will have a key to. on the plus side maybe the cats that get into the trash will ’’go away’’ just joking well ive got to go.

A full grown caiman will need a (room sized enclosure) unless you live a warm state where you can keep it out side and if you fence it in you gotta have the fence in the ground a foot or two cuz caimans love to burrow and can dig under the fence. The walls would have to be 3 or 4 feet high cuz caimans can leap pretty high and catch on with thier front legs and pull themselves over, they are better climbers than alligators, real good climbers, I dont even need a ramp for the pool mine swims in cuz he just climbs right in or leaps right in.......

ya i know about the fences cause i raise stuff like chickens and you dont want anything to get in or out of it. but any ways im probly not gonna get a caiman yet cause my parents dont really want me to because of my little bro and sisters. so i think im gonna either get a monitor or a few geckos but im not sure with yet cause monitors are big and just as dangerous and take a wile before you can breed them while geckos it only takes about 8 mths to be ready to lay and i could use the extra cash and thats how i get some is breeding and selling baby animals like hamsters but you sure dont get much for them. well ive got to go
