Question
Just out of pure curiosity do all caimans grow up to 6 - 8 feet in length? Or is there a smaller version of them? |

Spectacled caiman(caiman crocodilus): Up to 8 feet. Broad-snouted caiman(caiman latirostris): Up to 8 feet Yacare’ caiman(caiman yacare): Up to 8 feet Cuvier’s dwarf caiman(Paleosuchus palpebrosus): Up to 5 feet Smooth-fronted caiman(Paleosuchus trigonatus): Up to 6 feet. These sizes are by no means exact, just estimates of maximum sizes. Also keep in mind that these sizes are considered the usual maximum, although rare speciamens may be larger. These sizes are also male sizes, females are usually smaller by a foot or so. Hope I helped. -Reed |
