Feeding 
i have a baby smooth front caiman, hes only about 2-3 months old, i put minows in the tank and hes snagged a couple of them but there too quick, i drop crickets in the tank too and he’ll eat about 10 at a time, but idk anything about these caimans, i had alot of snakes and monitors but never a caiman, i need help on what to feed him, how often, growth rates, i looked at the care sheets, i just basically need some of yall to tell me what yall feed the baby caimans and how often they eat, i mean when my monitor was a baby it would eat 20 crickets a day, the caiman will eat only 10 and wont eat for a couple good days, just please give me some advice on the little guy haha

most people feed there’s 3 times a week, and they try to do something different each time, so like crickets, then fish, then u can throw in a pinkie every so often, i usually keep some feeder fish in with him at all times so he can grab a snack here and there. i think the growth rate is something like half an inch a month or so. also don’t tell everyone u don’t know anything lol will get u hate post

ight, im gonna try just feeding crickets here and there, and throw some fish in the tank, but what size can i start feeding it pinkys? and if there any other household stuff i can put

I feed mine pinky rats but at first I fed him pinky mice, mine would never hunt them, I would use tongs and tap his jaws with the mouse until he grabbed and ate it, mine for some reason is either lazy or just spoiled.......
