Need Help! Hey! I am new here but not to reptiles, and for awhile I have been looking into drawf caimans. I know some info on them. Like they only get 4 foot, and grow at a slow rate. Can you all give me some more info. on them, And pics of the set up you got of the babys & adults.

Need Help! They are mean, love to bite, fast, flexible, they need a room sized enclosure if indoors as adults, I have no pics of set ups but I’m sure others do, just google dwarf caiman husbandry and you should see lots of set ups and get lots of info, look up crocodilian care, and if you dig through past posts on this forum you can see how its done and learn how many attempted to do it the wrong way.......Peace

Need Help! Almost all exotic animals are legal in Ontario but prohibited by municipality. Each city/town has it’s own bylaws and restrictions. Despite being prohibited in most of southern Ontario, there are hundreds (possibly thousands) of crocodilians in private collections. Same with large snakes, technically pythons/boas over 3 meters are prohibited as well (including Burmese pythons) but you see them everywhere.
Realistically no one is going to come take your crocodillian unless you are doing something foolish like taking it outside or endangering the public. They require a warrant to search your house, which also requires evidence/probable cause, etc.
