New to forum hello everyone i am new to this forum, and i guess ill just start out by saying i jus recently bought a baby dwarf caiman and i hav a couple questions, do caimans require uvb, like most lizards? currently i hav offered her live crickets, a live mouse, frozen fuzzies, and rosy goldfish. only luck i had was with the rosy goldfish, they are kept in the caimen’s tank with her but she will not even try to catch them, i hav to put them on the end of tongs and rub them against her mouth she opens her jaws and i slide them in. i will do this for as long as i hav to but can some one please tell me what might possibly be wrong, i know i havnt said much but im hoping she will eventually catch on and start to eat the fish in her tank.

New to forum goldfish have thiaminese that destroys a mineral called thiamine that’s neccesary for a reptile to live a long life. fish that have been frozen too long can develop this too. they don’t have that much nutrition anyways.
