 Dwarf caiman questions

hello i have a dwarf caimain maybe about 2 years old not too sure

but i know for a fact its growth has been stunted i picked it up from store that it was dropped off at and previous owner must have been doing something wrong


ive had for about 5 months now and i havent seen any growth i have a good size setup i feed him often temperature is good and so is the water


what should i do to get it going?

it is jus about 15inches long

only thing im not sure is the age it could be younger the person i got it from was not sure of its actual age

Its hard to believe that after 2 years its only 15 inches. The only thing I can think of that might stunt is growth is feeding him extremely rarely, like 1-2 times a months.

My guy is almost 6 months old and hes all ready 12 inches long. Hes grown almost 5 inches since birth.

By the way. Do you know what species it is? Palpebrosus or Trigonatus?
