Poo? 
Ive had my caimen for a little over two weeks now. Hes eating fine, looks great, no problems at all that I can see. However, i have not seen him defocate once. I have been keeping a pretty close eye on him, and even watch him at night sometimes using a red bulb. But yeah, I haven’t seen him go at all. Is it easy to miss, or is the actual stool not noticeable? I do have two filters running, and a few random fish in the water section, but I think I would have seen something or come accross some sort of evidence?

When he goes you’ll know. My caiman doesn’t go all that often, once every month or 2. My caiman always defecates on land and I have heard alot of peoples caimans almost always go on land too. They will also eat it, not always though, sometimes mine eats others times he doesn’t. I’m sure you’ll know if he eats it cause 90% of the time they’ll go into the water to eat anything. It will make the water murky.
I was worried at 1st when my caiman wasn’t defecating, even asked on a few forums but I’ve learned now is very common for them to go long times with out Defecating. Its not a problem and you shouldn’t worry about it. He will go when hes ready.

I have a young caiman. He is going on two years. He deficates very rarely or at least I only see it very rarely. I talking several months. I clean his filter weekly and some weeks it is really dirty others not so much so I am assuming I am just missing it or he is eating it, never knew they did that. My question is this. My caiman deficated this morning and it is rather larger and appears harder then I would expect. Does this seem normal for them to have large poo. I know weird questions thanks for anyone willing to read and answer I do truly appreciate it.

My caiman somtimes deficates like a little pile of dogdoo or sometimes drops smalls human like logs.
lol never thought I would post anything like that "human like logs". =P
