Hatchlin wont eat 
I just got a hatchlin last wed and he wont eat, he,s about 8" long and looks very healthy but he wont eat a thing. I put a couple gold fish in the tank nad left two small dead goldfich where he lays at. I also minced up a piece on deer meat. any help would be great thanks..I did a search and heard crickets were good, should I try them...

how much water is in the tank? From my experience, it the hatchling finds it too deep, it won’t eat. For 8 inches, I would only put about 3 inches of water in the tank. Do you have a sufficient land area? The rule of thumb is 1/3 land, 2/3s water.

my caiman loves crickets too, just remember the baby caiman are famous for not eating, it may not always be anything your doing wrong, just keep trying..
