 At our wits end...

our 8 month old neutered male cat has in the past 2 weeks started bringing birds home,3 dead and disembowelled across our garden and 2 live, 1 nearly dead and 1 that hid under some rubbish in the garden when i scared off my cat, that was today, and im so fed up with either clearing up dead bird guts and feathers or trying to save the ones that he doesnt manage to kill outright, its so depressing, and now ive come to the decision that i will hand him over to a rescue home if it continues, weve tried shouting at him when he has 1, and he sounds like father christmas whenever he moves due to the bells on his collar, so i have no idea how he keeps getting them, the first one did look like it was very young but all the others have been fully fledged healthy birds, please if anyone has any ideas please please let us know, none of any of our cats in the past have done this and i dont understand why he has started all of a sudden i dont want to lose my kitty but theres only so much we can take, its not like he doesnt get fed,he has food twice a day and treats aswell. im at my wits end with him,i do love him but i have young children who play in the garden and i cant let them play out when theres bits of dead bird stuck in the grass. so mad at him right now.
