 Munchkins in alaska?

Hey everyone
im really interested in buying a munchkin kitten in afew years but i will be going to alaska for a year or 2 (possibly living there) and im wondering if a) i could buy one there and b) would the long-hair sort live comfortably in the temperatures there if it is always indoors. if not what sort of cat would suit the temperature there?
thanks
Kath

I don’t believe there is a munchkin breeder in Alaska (though I could be wrong). I also didn’t know there was a long-haired breed of munchkin (learn something every day), but if it’s indoors and you have heat, then it shouldn’t be a problem.

If you want a cat that will suit Alaskan temps, look into Norwegian Forest Cats and MaineCoons.
