My aunt and uncles cats did that too. They actually did that on their bed and they couldn’t get them to stop so they had to put them down. But those cats where old. how old is your cat? that may help figure out if their is something wrong or if you can fix the problem.

My cat started peeing and pooping on the floor-found out she had renal (kidney) failure, she was unfortunately put to sleep because there was nothing the vet could do for her except keep her doped up on meds to help with the pain-she was in a lot of pain. Take Rosie to the vet and have her checked for a urinary/bladder infection-she could have one and associate the litter box with pain. Make sure the areas she is using are cleaned thoroughly so she will not be able to smell the poop there. Hopefully everything works out for you-keep us updated.

Depending on how old the cat is you might just have a case of bad kitty.
Our cats sometimes pee or poop in odd areas. They have had crystals in the urine so couldnt really help peeing on places. The poop though could be b/c the litter box is dirty. Some cats are anal about their litter boxs and need it cleaned more often than others. Also, when thye get older they get more anal..so I would check that out. Is it diareaha or little turds? It really all depends on the age and all that.. but we need a response... :)

If you cat is not old and checks out okay with the vet..bloodwork and stool sample, then it might behavioral. I adopted a cat from the shelter who was an ouside cat and I only keep inside cats. Right away she started peeing and pooping everywhere, still does. best I can do is tkeep the boxes clean and pick up poop and use towels and bleach on my kitchen floor. Thank gods it is only in the kitchen! Good luck!
