 Kitty problems

we found a small kitten in our alley and we took it home after checking for its owner and found out a stry cat had a litter. its seems REALLY skinny and it won’t eat what should we do?

You should go to a vet. That is your #1 option right now. Something could be wrong with the kitten or it could be a runt, and that’s how it could have been apart from the mother and litter. Either that or it was somehow separated from the mother and that’s how you happened upon it.

Your second chore is to see if you can catch the mother and her kittens - transporting them to the same vet. Either this or call animal control. If, by the slimmest of chances, you can get the kitten reunited with the mother, it has a much larger chance of survival. The mother can be transfered to the nearest shelter (or taken care of by you) and fostered with the kittens until they’re an appropriate age, then fixed and sent off to homes.

Taking him or her to the vet is priority number 1! You want to make sure (s)he is in over all good health and get rid of any fleas or ticks or other nasty bugs. Have them check for worms while your there. The vet should also be able to give you a pretty good ideal of the age of the kitten. Can you post some photos of the little one? Also what are you trying to feed?
