How far the cat runs depends on completely on if he’s fixed or not. Unfixed male cats are known to be runners and can get very far to find a female and dominate a territory. If the cat’s unfixed, he should be somewhere in the area. Check your yard, under your house, any holes the cat could have gotten into, any warm areas. Ask the neighbors as well. Leave a bowl of food out for your cat (of course) and immediately put out ’lost cat’ posters. Lastly, call the shelter and tell them what happened... They’ll tell you if they may have your cat (or you could go to it to find out) and will give you tips on where to look.

Should you get your cat back, if you haven’t already, get him a microchip or tagged collar.

he has been gone for around almost a week now.
He has not been fixed, he is 6 years old and is very adventurous at times.

He has the tagged collar! but we never got him microchipped cuz we didnt think he’d bugger off like this.
By the way, we found a female black cat and a female tabby cat hanging around and thats when we spotted my cat yesterday. Could he be mating or something?
i so pray to god those females are fixed!

If he’s unfixed, he’ll definitely be screwing those two females... Or, well, trying to.

If you saw him the other day, then you’re very lucky. Keep those lost signs up around the neighborhood. You could also rent some humane live traps (the shelter can help you with this) and see if you can’t catch the bugger that way. Oh, if you have a garage, you could always leave that ajar and see if the cat wont sneak into it during the night.

Once you eventually do catch the cat, get him fixed immediately. This will go a long way to preventing a re-occurrence. You should also get him tested for worms and such, as he’ll undoubtedly be drinking from filthy water while on the run.
