 Introducing myself.

Just though I would introduce myself as I am new here. So here goes:
My name is Deb and I have been breeding and SHOWING cats for over 15 years now. Most of those years I worked with Persians now I work with Sphynxs. I stopped breeding and showing Persians due to the overwhelming numbers out there that people are breeding just to make a buck. I am very passionate about my cats and cats in general. I tend to take a hard stance on breeder ethics and believe that ALL pet kittens should be spayed or neutered before going to new homes as well as having at least there frist set of shots and being at least 4 months old before leaving for that new home. Also believe in spaying and neutering all non pedigree non show cats (and dogs). I believe that most people ended up breeding for all the worng reasons. If done right there is NO money to be made it all goes back into the cats. I also do not support breeding if you do not show your cats. I fully support and work with rescues and shelters as they are WONDERFUL and do great things for so many animals in need.

I tell you all of this as I can come off as "mean" at times or that is the way some people tend to take my passion for cats and doing what is right for them and like people to know where I am coming form up font. Really I swear I am not mean LOL . Anyway look forward to hanging out and getting to know you all.

That it is lol! Persians will always be very dear to my heart but there are just WAY to many out there now for me to breed them EVEN for the show ring especially since show quality persians are a dime a dozen in shelters now.
Sphynxs though are also an amazing breed and they can be a lot harder to work with. With persians you have the hair there that can hide a few small faults not so with a sphynx.

Right now I am not able to show so am not breeding. I have a 4 year old and since she has been around it is not as easy to be on the road every weekend for a different show when I have a cat that I wanna show. So I have sort of taken a break. When I do breed though I have a waiting list as I don’t breed a cat unless I am sure they have homes lined up.

Sphynxs make excellent pets though. They do tend to talk a bit and they can ONLY be indoor cats which is pretty much true for most cats but still. They are also sensitive to sun and cold. As for how the feel.. pet your arm!! Just like that LOL. They are great fun to live with. I have also noticed that they LOVE to have a "fuzzy" cat as a friend to cuddle up to and so always suggest strongly that anyone getting one might want to consider adopting another cat as well for say a shelter or rescue group!
