That is SO sad. A lot of things could have done it but my guess is probably some mean old kids! The vet might have to stitch up the eye sockets to prevent infection depending on how severe it is. You can try to give them mother’s milk from the pet store. Make sure to keep them nice and warm and hopefully the vet can get them all fixed up. Keep us updated and post pics.

What kitten formula did you buy? KMR? if so that is a decent one. As for the eyes I was gonna mention it could be an infection even before the pics but that pretty much confirms it. They need a vet or the other kitten could lose his eye sight as well. The vet can give you a cream to put in there eyes and some antibiotics to help clear them up and get them feeling better. For now wash there eyes VERY gentle with warm water on a wash cloth a coupe times a day. Feed them as much as they will take. They look big enough you can start trying to get them drinking form a dish and maybe even eating a little cat food. Soak it in the kitten formula until soft then mash it up really well. Place a SMALL amount in there mouths and see if they take it. Keep them warm and dry! Good luck. If you have any questions I will be happy to try and answer them.

Poor little guys! They are SO sweet though. I use the brand Purina One for dry and Friskees for wet food (which is 1 can a day split up over the day). I know Purina One makes food especially for kittens but make sure that it is not too hard for them or you will have to moisten it with a little water. Yeah I would try to get them to the vet so they can get a proper workup-they are gonna need shots as well. Are they going to the bathroom ok? Just be careful when they are introduced to solid foods-it may cause diarrhea. Keep us updated.

A good high quality kitten food would be best. Look at the ingredient list when you are buying. You want Whole meat as the frist ingredient I.E. Chicken, Beef, Lamb. Not Meal and try to avoid by products. Chicken soup for the cat lovers soul is a good one. The petsmart brand is also an OK food compared to a lot of what is out there. Yes the frist day or so they may get the runs form food. But then again that will probably happen as well once the vet gets them on antibiotics. Just keep there bottoms clean and make sure you get them good and dry if you have to rinse them off. Remember to SOAK that food in the KMR for a while until it is mush. The vet should be able to tell you how old they are as well. Form the photos I would say there are at least 6-7 weeks maybe even 8. When they are feeling better and putting on some weight you can start mixing the food with water instead of KMR

I figured you might find that to be the case once you got them cleaned up! Most likely you are dealing with herpes of the eye. In which case the REALLY need to see a vet as that is the only way to save the eyes. The older one maybe to far gone to save his sight but the smaller ones 1 eye may have a chance if you act now. They need medication. Antibiotics and cream for there eyes. You need to act FAST on that so with out trying to sound mean I have to say if you can’t for any reason afford or get a vet NOW you need to get these babies to some one who can. Cats are a lot like reptiles when sick. They can go down fast and die on you in no time if they are sick. They also often tend to act like there are doing a bit better right before taking a huge trun for the worst.

what kind of surgery? i’ve never heard of a cat having surgery to fix it being too small. i’m a vet tech and it sounds like the "meat" you’re talking about is something called cherry eye. there is a surgery called entropion that can fix that easily. it’s like their third eyelid growing too large. about the eyes. when small kittens get eye infections, i’ve seen frequently, their eyes tend to goop shut. since nobody was taking care of them there was nobody to peel their eyes open and clean them out. they need some serious eye ointment and antibiotics. also don’t forget about vaccinations because this infection with their eyes is most likely something they could’ve been vaccinated for. there’s no need to spend a ton of money on getting them spayed, neutered, and this surgery if they’re not vaccinated. because i’ve seen myself where someone will spend a lot of money getting their cat fixed, then a month later the cat has some disease that it dies from.
priorities: 1. take care of any urgent medical needs
2. vaccinate and check for worms
3. get on heartworm prev and flea prev, all it takes is one mosquito bite for heartworms and there is no treatment for cats.
4. feed the proper diet. good quality kitten food
5. spay or neuter
doing this they should have a long, healthy, happy life.
