My other advice would be to not allow your nursing mom to go outside. She is bound to pick up germs and diseases and bring them home to her kittens that have no immunities. My last piece of advice would be to get all three of them spayed/neutered as soon as the kittens reach 2.5 pounds! The vet will probably give you some tarramycin or something similar to put in the eye a few times a day. Usually eye infections are a symptom of something like an upper respiratory disease, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the vet gives you antibiotics (Clavamox perhaps?) for all three kitties. |

Regular "eye drops" would not have magically cured a bacterial infection, but I’m glad they worked for you. I would not, however, advise anyone with a cat with an eye infection to just ignore the vet and put eye drops in. There are numerous reasons for an eye to be irritated. Good luck with them! |
