A kitten will be most the time playful with mine he is always playful except when he sees my dog haha. But if you get a male kitten then , males are very very loud, no matter wat age they are, trust me my new kitty is a male only had him for two days and he will stop meowing if you pet him a lot while you r holding him, but if you put him like on my bed and just go out of my room to use the bathroom and he will meow like I am gonna leave him there and never come back. Females aren’t very vocal, they can be vocal. Older cats like from age 3 or 4 and up will not be as active or vocal but yeah they will be playful and will be vocal just not badly vocal! thank goodness haha , I have one nine year old cat , one 10 month old cat and a 2 month old kitten they are all vocal and playful! so i hope you choose a great kitty and good luck! really good luck! i hope u find 1 that suits u perfectly !!!!!!!

If you are only getting one cat, DEFINITELY get one over 5 or 6 months of age! Little kittens really should be in pairs since they learn so much from each other as they grow (what hurts, what doesn’t, how to play, basically how to be a normal kitty). Where are you located? Check petfinder.com and consider adopting a rescue/shelter pet! Good luck on your search.

If you want a very playful , vocal, and awake almost all the time then the best kitty for you is either a black and white kitten, mine is always vocal , playful ,and awake. Another one is a Calico kitty, maybe even a Tabby kitten they are all very playful. Also try looking at the snow shoe kitties, they are awsome. Siamese are vocal playful, but not very nice they like to bite a lot! So I hope you find a good kitty, Good luck.

If you get a shelter kitty, "breed" isn’t going to matter. It is possible, but unlikely, to find a purebred cat, and just by looking at colors or fur you will not be able to distinguish what breeds were mixed to make your cat.

Most all cats are "mutts", so just be sure to spend some time at the shelter learning about their personalities and meeting the cats before deciding. Don’t decide based on color or fur type, it’s the personality you’ll have to live with!

But, if you want my personal favorite, all black cats! They have the lowest adoption rate because they are very common and people think they’re "boring", but I think they’re awesome and just as loving as any other cat.

Yeah I forgot about those, I used to have one and she was the best till she got pregnate and bacame agressive before and after she had the babies, she was also agressive after we sold her kittens. But besides that they are amazing kitties, when I went to the Humane Society on Sunday there were about four black kitties there, there were two adults and two babies, the babies were in with my new kitty. I almost got one of the baby black kitties. But yeah if you want the name of the humane society that we got Ace from then just ask me.
