1st thing you need to do is get a cleaner made for cleaning up animal urine. No matter how clean we think that floor is, your cat will still smell where it went to the bathroom before unless you use a special cleaner like Nature’s Miracle. You can get it at pet stores & some big grocery stores too. Soak the floor well & to be really sure you got the whole area you can turn off the lights & use a blacklight to check. If you missed anywhere your cat peed the blacklight will make it glow so you can find it & clean it up. If you don’t get rid of the smell your cat will most likely continue to go there. Next, consider trying a new cat litter. Some cats are picky & only like unscented, for example. Also, make sure your litter box is really clean. One of my cats is very particular & has peed on the floor if her box wasn’t clean enough. There are other suggestions I have but let me know what you’ve tried before I keep blabbing! |
