You should do extensive research in any hybrid animal. Their temperament depends on socialization and how far bred into domestication they are. They are dog-like in behavior and extremely smart.

Able to jump well above your head in a single go, Savannahs are known to open and rummage around cabinets, doors, fridges, and all sorts of things - so you’d pretty much have to install small locks all over your kitchen to keep the cat from destroying it. Hybrid cat piss reeks something fierce, especially in males. Due to their Serval lineage, some Savannahs have very small livers and need medication for it. They also have issues with a specific drug used to put down normal cats in surgery and need special vaccinations.

In some areas you’d need a license to get a hybrid cat, and other places ban them entirely. So you’d have to ask your local wildlife department if they’re legal where you live.

Savannah cats (as well as other hybrids) also need a special diet consisting of no grains and no by-products. You’d need to consult the breeder and your vet to get the info on that. I don’t know if that’s for lesser generations (such as F6 and up), but it’s necessary in F1 and 2 generations.

Thanks for the reply,I am really interested in the f1 savannahs because they are still recognized as "domestic" cats where i live, but i am also taking into account that it is a lot harder to find a vet who will accept a hybrid and that getting any other pet would be extremely difficult to introduce unless they have been raised with the animal.

I also heard that they are pretty easy to train if you are consistent but they also can get quite wild. I also have to be sure that i can afford all the expenses for its whole life. They need to be fed raw meat as well as a high quality cat food, not to mention the price of the actual cat.
