With all due respect, have you done no research at all?
Did you buy a chameleon without a clue how to care for it?
What questions do you specifically have?

First of all get her out of the glass tank right away. Chameleons should be housed in a screen enclosure. Second shes more then likely going back in forth in the cage because its too small. Have you done no research. And she can’t be pregnant if she’s not with a male. Yes she will lay eggs but they will not hatch. And you cant just throw some sand in there. It needs to be moist eco-earth in a bucket so she can dig down and deposit her eggs.

 Chamillinare ..

Before you hurt yourself falling to the floor and laughing at someone else ...

Yes, chams can be kept in glass enclosures. Baby chams. Typical aquarium style tanks are not suitable for adults, however (unless of the pygmy ground-dwelling species). Chams need cross ventilation (they live in trees, remember??) and typical tanks, unless modified or custom built, don’t provide that. Typical tanks are also not large or tall enough for an adult cham. Tanks are okay for babies, but not after a certain age.

Now, how about more information from you, since judging from other posts you’ve made here, you really don’t know much about cham keeping, either.

How old or large is your Veiled?
What size glass tank do you have her in?
What are her basking temps? What are her necessary "cool side" temps?
How do you provide her drinking water and how often?
What are you feeding her? And what supplements do you use and on what schedule?
Did you mention you had some egg-laying soil or something in the tank in case she’s gravid?
If so, where is the soil? (like in a pot or on the bottom of the tank or what?)
PICS are very good! Post a pic of your setup and the cham.

Provide some answers to the above and maybe we can figure out why your cham seems unhappy. (Pacing, constant exploring, clawing at cage sides, all can mean unhappy, ill or possibly gravid)

 Chamillinare ..

At 6 months old, a 40 gallon tank is not suitable.
She should be in a tall screen enclosure suitably sized for her age. No less than 24 X 24 X 48.
Her water should be provided by frequent heavy misting or a dripper, not in a bowl with a bubbler.

Crickets are good, mealworms are crap.
What are you gutloading the crickets with?
What supplements are you dusting the crickets with?

She goes to the top because THEY LIVE IN TREES. I’m sorry, but I already told you that! She goes to the top because that’s what her instinct tells her to do to escape predation. Yes, it’s natural!
You putting her back on her leaves will do nothing except stress her out further. (Uh, where are her leaves if not at the top??)

Stop handling her. Get her a suitable enclosure. Get rid of the water bowl and the bubbler. Do you even have a UVB source or a basking bulb?

I thought you said you had researched ... ?

that guy at the pet store was wrong young baby chams are growing and growing fast so you should always dust everyday for a week and then have weekends off then start dusting again this way you dont overload there tiny lil bodies with to much calcium or vit D3 cause if so it will turn toxic to there organs and lead to a vet bill 2 feet long also to little of suplementing will result in MBD metabolic bone disease , i myself personally dust the babies through out the whole week 5 days straight and then have there weekends off and i only do it until they are 2 months old till 2.5 depends on if theres a runt or not so dont listen to that guy anymore i think hes full of it at the pet store , like telling you not to supplement your baby cham at a young age is a very big no no , like how are they supose to get all there minerals and vitamins to grow big and strong into adult hood , like by us giving these minerals and vitamins to them we are just supplementing things from the wild they would normaly eat but dont normally get in captivity so keep them supplements up until your dude is around the 3 months age then you can cut it down to 2 or 3 times weekly to dust there feeders and you should be fine

Please get a screen cage. Adult chams have no business being in a glass tank. If you click on my profile and go to my website-there is an excellent link on chameleon care that explains supplements. You have a lot to learn...

Yes the guy at petsmart WAS wrong! Calcium is especially important in younger reps...that’s when they are growing kind of like milk for children.....a weak analogy but whatever ( : Did you say how big she was? Alot of the time smaller chams will regurgitate mealworms.....so you may want to check into that...I’m not sure with chams, since they are arboreal, but with other reps staying at the top can mean it’s too cold....I know that’s debatable with a chameleon...
