 Eye problems

my veiled chameleon has had trouble with his right eye. he is not dehydratid because the other eye is perfect. his temps are 80 and basking 95 his humdity is 45%. please tell me how to treat it

A veterinarian could direct you best, especially since they could see the animal, and have a better idea of what is wrong with it than just right eye trouble.

My baby panther has the same thing, his right eye is swollen and always closed, and he keeps rubbing it...but he isn’t dehydrated either. I’m taking him to the vet today.

try GENTLY dripping warm water (not salt water, this irritates the eye, my vet told me) as this should help flush it out if there is anything in there.

if it doesn’t get better the next day, take it to the vet :)

i no nothing about chams but i was just reading this post and it sounds like it could be a problem with the uvb on the bearded dragon forum there is a link to a website that has done a study and has found that sertain types of tube and compact uvb lights have caused problems with reptiles eyes. some of the reptiles with the problems where chams. i may be totally wrong but it just sounds the same

we found the problem i took him to the vet, it turns out he had a reptil prolaps and all most died.they fixed his eye with antibiotics.
