 PYGMY CHAMELEONS!!

hello.

new here.. anyway, i have been keeping and breeding pygmy chameleons for a number of years now and thought that i would share a few pictures of my colony with you guys!

currently, i have 14 of these in my care.. i am about to start breeding for this season again in the next few months, so i am sure you will see more posts from me!

enjoy!

these pics are a couple of my breeder females and male, as well as one of the MANY tanks that they reside in.

constructive criticism always welcome!

also, i have made a Pygmy Chameleon Website, that details their care, health and maintenance.

please give it a looks see and tell me what you think!!

http://cherisse44.webs.com/

my web page is titled " The Underground Tomato"

it also has information on Reed frogs of Africa, of which i also breed and maintain a colony of around 8 different species, 30 frogs total.

 PYGMY CHAMELEONS!!

thank you.

i have never had veiled’s before. although i have a friend that has one.

i haven’t had too much experience working with larger chams, so i am still hesitant to try one..

have any photos of yours?

good luck with it!

 PYGMY CHAMELEONS!!

while cleaning out one of my 40 gallon pygmy tanks tonight, i managed to scoop out (4) healthy and fertile looking eggs.

by their size, i would say they were layed 2-3 weeks ago, which gives an estimated hatching date of late July to early August.

i will post pictures as soon as i am able too..

this caught me off guard because these are from a female that hasn’t been with a male since the last time she was bred. i suppose she had a healthy sperm storage that contributed to these eggs????

anyway, just thought that i would share.

 PYGMY CHAMELEONS!!

nicely done there gretchenellie congrats on the eggs , and you could easily own a panther or veiled no problems those pygmies are harder to take care of because there soo tiny and there life span is only soo long , all yea gota do is just research abit on them and get yourself to a piont where you think you can manage a bigger chameleon but anyways good luck with the eggs hope they all hatch for you
