if he has a prolapse, there is nothing you can do other then try to keep it moist and find a vet FAST!

and besides that, all of the other symptoms need attention as well. it doesnt sound too good and he needs to be seen by a vet.

im not trying to sound mean, but these are things you have to think about before purchasing an exotic animal like this.. are there vets in my area? can they treat exotics? can i afford a vet bill?

do you think he has managed to swallow some substrate to cause the impaction? maybe a small rock or pebble? how do you feed him ( free range or from a bowl )?

im very sorry for what you are going through... i wish the best for him..

A vet is the only thing that is going to help you now. It sounds like a rectal prolapse and impaction. Maybe try soaking him in a room temperature sugar water bath. The water may help him pass whatever is stuck and the sugar sometimes reduces swelling and helps things go back in. It doesn’t sound good. Are you sure there are no vets in your area? Try calling every vet office you find in the yellow pages-maybe someone will have reptile experience. You also should not have 2 4 month old males in the same cage.

they can go abit with out food like weeks but they need water everyday , so aslong as you give him water and just put a few feeders in with him everytime he should come around for you , but a prolapse is a very painful thing to a chameleon when mine had it he seemed like he was in alot of pain always gaping when he moved and didnt move much maybe a couple of inches a day but he didnt make it on me, woke up the next day to take him to the vet and he was already gone but it sounds like your dude is back on recovery just try not to bother him as much as stress will be much more greater now and could result in death , not sayin hes gona die but if stressed out alot its possible he could but ttyl and keep us updateded
