 Vieled Chameleon Eggs

ok this morning my chameleon lais 31 eggs and its great but i was talking to a guy i used to hang out with at NC Zoo and they a while bac had a Water Moniter laid eggs that where fertal and so i asked him could it be that these r fertal he said "yu never know just get the things ready for it so i did

i would bet those eggs aren’t fertile...

females will develop non fertile eggs and still lay them on occasion.

Just glancing at your photo and without the benefit of a close-up, I would say those eggs are not fertile. Fertile eggs are plump and white.

Females will cycle eggs without breeding, just like birds and chickens. That said, females can also retain sperm from breeding and lay fertile eggs months later. I doubt that’s the case here, but it does happen. If she’s never been bred she will just lcontinue to lay infertile eggs.

If you do happen to get fertile eggs, they would proably be better suited placed in a medium that is less conducive to bacteria / mold growth. Vermiculite is a good medium in that it retains moisture well but doesn’t promote bacteria or mold more associated with soil. Keep your medium damp in order to maintain humidity, but do not spray the eggs themsevles.

thanks well she just laid 32 and 33 last night, but yeah i know its not likly but im being on the safe side. ok so are you saying that chameleons have been known to "hold the sperm"? or can they have that sertain organ like a Hyena? and be like the whptail species?

Yes, females have been known to retain sperm from a breeding until the following egg cycle.
