use them occasional when you are out of gut-loaded crickets... i prefer superworms over meal works but i do use meal worms on smaller chameleons that cant eat super worms

As far as nutritional value goes, mealworms are pretty much useless. High in chitin and that’s about it. Silkworms and Phoenix worms are wonderful alternatives and your cham will benefit much more from them than from meal and super worms.

I think Phoenix worms are called calci-grums in the UK, but you can try these online sites:

http://www.pollywog-livefoods.co.uk

http://www.livefoodshop.co.uk

http://www.silkworm-supplies.co.uk

Thankyou, I have ordered some "calci-grubs" from pollywog i will let people know what they are like when i get them.

I hope Bud likes them as my mum will be looking after her when i go away for 3days (booked ages ago and i cant change the dates) and mum hates crickets but has no prob wiv grubs/worms or beatles. Mum has kept snakes and geckos before and has looked after my iguana so i know bud is in safe hands, If she needs a vet mum will take her straight there without a 2nd thought.

I found silkworm-supplies.co.uk but i have heard alot of bad reviews like waiting months for their worms etc. i use livefood.co.uk but they dont sell phoenix worms

how many culci-grubs do i feed a day? As i am hoping to feed crix one week and calci-grubs the following week etc
