New Pygmy Chameleons I have been doing my research on pygmy chameleons a friend of mine bought to females at a reptile show. Well luckily today on craigslist I found a breeding pair of Bearded Pygmies. They were purchased from FlChams which from what i have hear are one of the top chameleon People in the country. I keep and breed leopard geckos and i keep all of mine individually in their own rack to keep the males from trying to breed with the females everynight. My question is do i have to keep my new chams seperate like i do with my geckos? or can they be kept together all the time? i have looked on several websites but have found nothing. If you know if they can be kept together or have anymore info i would greatly appreciate it if you would share. Thank you and i look forward to hearing from you.

New Pygmy Chameleons Pygmies are one of the few species that can be kept together. If you go to the FLChams website, there are great articles on keeping and housing them! I have been keeping them for over a year and they are a great little species to work with!

New Pygmy Chameleons i would recommend keeping them separate unless you plan to breed them..
females can and will be "bred to death" by males if given the chance....
not to mention that you will want to keep them separate for at least a few weeks to monitor food intake, defication rates and if they are properly hydrating themselves.
have a fecal sample done at your family vet, it doesnt cost much.
offer an array of different food items.:
freshly molted mini mealworms
fruit flies
crickets
moths ( from pesticide free areas).
certain types of ants and termites
etc.
