Thanks everyone I have had him the whole 4 years basically. I got him when he was less than a month old. Yes I know I got him at to young of an age. I try my best to spoil him too, he is my pampered little baby hehe.

Hey stonesour. Just curious about your veiled, looks amazing! Can all veiled have that bright of a yellow in them or is he maybe some sort of morph? Never seen one like it. Any info would be appreciated :)

all veiled chameleons are the same , there is no morphs in chameleons just good blood linages witch means good genes, so yes any ordinary veiled can have these bright colours just a female and male of great colourations and size will most likly determine good looking babies but it doesnt happen all the time they can through some not so well and light coloured babies so its all on the genes of these magnifcent animals

You are right about it being in the genes, but from my understanding they actually are a morph type of veiled. My Chameleon is a Sunburst Veiled Chameleon. These are the ones that produce those awesome colors. There are Yellow Sunburst, Orange Sunburst, and even a mixture of Yellow-Orange Sunburst. There may even be more types, but those are the ones I am familar with since I own one :)

I would have to say no, "sunburst" is just a way to sell veileds at higher prices, call it a scam if you will. Show me any scientific proof that this is genetically attributed and I’ll take it back.

In my experience there is a lot of non-genetic factors involved. Take two siblings and give one poor feeders and keep in indoors, while the other get to be out in the sun as often as the weather will let it and feed him well gut-loaded high quality feeders. There will be a difference between the two...
