Quote: I have come to the conclusion that the chameleon has to be appx the same size or just dont put her in with him.
That is not a conclusion. That is a fact, and with all due respect, there is enough information not just here at this site, but all over the internet that would have advised you against putting a female of any age in with a male over 3-4 months old. Size doesn’t matter. The fact is, chams are solitary in nature. They don’t want to share space period. There are also plenty of posts right here that would have also advised you not to buy from a pet store and most certainly not to take the advice of a pet store unless they specialize in chams. You were already given incorrect advice by the pet store you bought your male from (re: your previous post about the red basking light), so you knew they weren’t cham-savvy, and you just stated they didn’t even know how to sex the chams (and Veileds are the easiest of species to sex!), so it is not the stupid pet store’s fault. Good of you to post your terrible experience so others may learn, but please, as has been stressed over a thousand times here, do the research first! (and I apologize for coming off so harsh, it’s just that the little female did not have to die if the research had actually been done) |
