 Jackson’s Turns dark color at night.

I just got my jackson’s chameleon today, and when it was time for his light to go off, i noticed he turned a dark purple color along his back and underside. I turned the light back and and he went back to green, but whenever i turn it off he seems to change back to purple.

Any ideas? is he stressin’? or is he just trying to blend in or something?

Any responses will be greatly appreciated!

They turn darker when they get cold and yes when they stress a bit- nothing to worry about :)

Thanks guys, i checked on him a little later and he was asleep and returned to his normal color, i guess the light being off for the first time just freaked him out.
