 More than I can chew

Hi! I am getting a rescue chameleon at last notice. I have been researching and researching for weeks on this, but I still feel that I could get more info. Does anyone have any tips for a first time chameleon owner?

Make certain you have everything in place before you take it in. Enclosure, feeders, gutload, proper UVB light, basking light, vines/branches, misting device and/or dripper, thermometer.

If it’s a "rescue", I assume it’s not been properly cared for, so it’s your responsibility to have a cham-oriented setup completely ready for it. You haven’t stated what species of cham it is, so no one can give species-specific advice.

I have had a cage set up for a while, and I have all of the things mentioned, as I have other animals that require them as well. It is a veiled.
