 My Chameleon Died :)

I had him for six years. I’m not too sure if I’m going to get another one. I’ve had chams since 94’. Only veileds though. If I do get more I think I’ll breed carpets. Always liked them and wanted to work with them.

Definitely going to do things differently. No more all screen cages. I wrapped his cage in aluminum foil and clear plastic wrap a few years ago. I should of built him an enclosure that helped keep him hydrated better. I’m also not crazy with the whole "mist the cage to raise humidity five times a day" thing. I should of built him an enclosure that helped keep humidity in without constantly spraying and such.

You raised a beauty and 6 years is a good long life! I doubt humidty had anything to do with his death-to have him live that long you must have been doing things right!

So sorry for your loss.......my Chaos just passed also and it was hearwrenching, he had a bad infection in his eye, went to the vet on Fri and passed on Wed. I cried my eyes out!!!!!! Angry Man sure looked awesome in those pics even if he was being defensive and you were very lucky to have 6 years with him! We have Serenity my female and 2 hachtlings from Chaos and about 14 more eggs still to hatch. It’s amazing how attached you get to these incrdible creatures.
