Help please?? my sister and i have a 20 gallon terrarium and we chose newts but i wouldn’t recomend them if you want some thing that is energetic and you can play with but they are still fun to have. we also have a 10 gallon which we put anoles in. in the last i’d say 5 or 6 years we’ve had a 55 gallon in our living room at one time we had anoles and tree frogs then we had box turtles and all those were great pets but if you’re tank holds water to about it’s half red eared sliders are great too, we had two little babies in a 10 gallon but had to give hem away. if you wanted to you could make a polidarium (sorry if i spelled it wrong) we were almost going to do that with our 20 gallon but we found out that its too much work. but if you wanted to do that you could have fish, newts, anoles, tree frogs and plenty of other amphibians and reptiles. good luck with setting up you’re 40, i hope its lots of fun!

NO. this is a VERY bad idea to mix species.. most of them come from different regions and have different care requirements.... and just because " you did it before and there weren’t any issues " doesnt mean that they were getting what they needed to THRIVE, just survive....
stick to one type of animal for that tank, be it newt, frog or other.. your pets will thank you for it in the end..
