 Compact Florescent Lightbulbs

Quick question, is it okay to use the energy saving light bulbs for a chameleon? The ones that twist around.

It is OK touse regular household compacts-but all they really provide is light since they do not put out much heat. many compat UVB bulbs are known to cause eye issues in chams so I would steer clear of those.

Agreed. If you want a reliable, inexpensive heat source, just use a regular household bulb (be sure to measure the temps of course to be sure wattage is not too high).
Nothing is cheaper, easier and you don’t have to worry about possible photo-kerato-conjunctivitis. :)
