Are his legs bowed or straight? Does he have what looks like knots at his "ankles" or "elbows"? Is his casque nice and full or sunken? How about his appetite? How about his humidity and watering schedule? How do you administer his drinking water? How do you maintain humidity in his enclosure? What type of enclosure is he in? Sorry for all the questions, but the more info you provide, the better someone may be able to assist you. |

Just for future reference, chams only need UVB exposure during normal daylight hours. And no light or extra heat at night, so 12 hours of UVB per day is fine as long as the bulb you are using is not terribly old. I agree with Jonas, re: the best lizard, but would like to add, the best lizard is one that suits your wallet, your lifestyle and your time. Research those species you are interested in and see which one suits you best. Chams definitely don’t fill the bill for "best to handle". |
