1yr old female acting strange  hey my one year old veild is acting strange she was very active befor then i put her with our male and well 1 month later she isnt so active she still eats her silks and butters and when i can get them horndworms (darn american customs wont let them cross the border) and even eats her crickets but she stays up near the top of the screen tank under the light i think ima try to put a lay bin in with her just incase she is gravid so any ideas will be great

 either she is gravid or the male is causing her terminal (fatal) stress , quite possibly both, in either case you need to seperate them. i suggest you read; http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/

1yr old female acting strange  It sounds like she is gravid-what did you think would happen after you put them together? THey will typically stop eating when they are near laying. DO you have a laying bucket in with her?

 of course i knew what would happen lol that was the point of putting them together. I just put a lay bin in and she has not gone down yet she is up high in the enclosure looking at it though she ate 2 crickets yesterday but she usually eats all of the 10 i put in with her so i think she might be getting ready. thank you to all who have responded with advice and comments. i will keep posted with her progress. it is her first time laying and our first time breeding her. we have done beardie’s and gecko’s in the past and plan on doing corn’s and amevia’s in the future.
