Would "chuck" be better off with a "friend"?

I’ve had my chuckwalla for almost a year. I live in a small town and chuckwalla supplise are hard to find. the first month i had him i kept him in a 20 gal aquriom. and he was losing weight. i took him out in the yard to graze but it didnt help. i got him a big rubermiad cuntaner and the problem didnt stop, i cought a sagebrush lizerd and put him in the cage, i had aacsidenty scooped up a large amount of suger ants and needed some pest control. sudenly chuck started to beef up! it seemed to me that he enjoyed the company...
the only problem was, sagebrush lizerds are vary hosile by nature so fearing for chucks fingers i let the sage lizerd go after a cople weeks.

so dose chuck need company?

P.S. its winter and my "chuck" dosent like walmarts vegis. ive been looking for dandelion seeds to plant in the cage along with other wild native plants to the dessert so i can grow them right in the cage
dose enyone know where i can buy some?
or eny other food sources?
