 What should i do

I have 3 chuckwallas that were caught in the wild. Whenever I give them plants they wont eat them, but they love crickets and wax worms. Should I try to give them plants still and cut back on the insects? I just don’t want to give them something that will harm them later. Please let me know. Thanks

wc chuckawallas are hard to get to eat i would not take crickets away if they are not eating keep trying for the plants try giving them dandylions mine loved them

Try the dandelion flowers and see if they will eat. Some are shy and will not eat if you are watching. If they eat the flowers then start to introduce some greens (collard greens, mustard greens, endive, watercress, etc...) and hopefully they will eat.

Where can I get the dandelion flowers, I tried a nursery and they were like that’s a weed.

They are considered a weed. Some supermarkets sell the dandelion leaves, but not flowers. Try a local park or area where there is grass growing if you don’t have them growing in your own yard..

They will eat both the flower and leaves, but seem to prefer the flowers.
