What kind of collared is this

Well sorry but i cant help on the species. I know it doesnt look the same as my C. collaris did when it was young. Being WC the best thing to do would be to put it back in the same place you found it. My guess is it could only be maybe two weeks old at the very most. If you do decide to keep it i would use an eye dropper to give it water. Gently rub your fingers along side his jaw while holding him to get him to open his mouth. I would also use paper towels for the bottom of the cage for a little while, and then playsand in a month or so. You will want to feed it the small crix you can find for a few weeks. Also know that he may never eat in captivity and just die, and you probably dont want your kids to watch that happen. Hope I have been somewhat helpfull.

What kind of collared is this

thank you

actualy he has been eating very well thus far. he as been eating small crickets and even has taken them from my sons fingers. he caught a fly today as well. we go back to the ranch this weekend so we have a few days to decide. seems like most folks feel it should be released back into the wild. this is probably what we wll do, but he is so cool I may look for a captive born baby to adopt.
