29 gallon tank Well Chris Collared Lizards grow to about 12-14 inches in length, live 10-12 years and are very active. Be sure to have basking rocks, not the heated kind, as they like to crawl under them. If you get say two babies, captive bred , use a bark based substrate, some use sand on young ones but its better to be safe. These critters like it hot 100 degrees in basking area and not under 70 in cooler area. Mine eat crickets and worms and are very aggressive. Don’t get 2 males, they will fight. It’s best to get two that have been living together so you know they will get along.

29 gallon tank well a 29 gallon is probably big enough for one but two is a stretch because once they get full grown there might not be enough space for both of them

29 gallon tank Yes I meant for 2 young ones, as in 6-7 inches in length...for 2 adults you would need a bigger tank as these are active guys, not like say, a chameleon which barely moves at all...and take into account that these lizards are great jumpers and runners, which accounts for their frog-like legs and 2/3 of their length is tail for balance as they are great acrobats , so give them bark, branches and rocks and stufff to "play on" but be careful not to give crickets good hiding places haha.

29 gallon tank OMG that pic of the lizard poking his head out of the hole is adorable. Did he do that on his own?
