 What’s Wrong
Hey you guys, i just got zen recently and on sunday (2-15-09) i moved her into her new cage. Shes acting kind of weird now. SHe was fine the first two days but now shes making me wonder. she didn’t eat this morning and shes kind of been avoiding me and being antisocial. I have noticed that it looks like she might be shedding. Could that be why shes acting so weird? Thanks in advance

lizards aren’t very social and see you as a food supplier or enemy and they don’t eat for a week after you get them sometimes

Its a new environment, give it time, also shedding stresses mine out, it seems to be itchy. Just make sure there is a rough surface (bark or stone) to help the shed, and don’t tear the old skin off it could lead to infection. They are very sociable animals to me, but just give it time, maybe a companion lizard would be good. And give it a place to hide and a place to bask, they love to climb and jump also.

Thanks, shes acting a lil bit better today. I found a breeder that is willing to sell me a mate for her on kingsnake.com. im gonna get her one as soon as i have the money.
