Can someone help me? 
i have a collard lizard he has an infection in his mouth and not eating. I live in Northern Ireland and there is only one shop who deals with reptiles he seems to know a lot about reptiles and he told me to clean his mouth out with iodine 3times a day and to feed him baby food but i am just wondering if someone would know something more about this cuz it does not seem to be working. Please get in touch with me. I would forever be in your debt and i would even pay to make him better. Thank you.

The iodine treatment for mouth rot does work. I’ve had to do it a couple of times. I’m afraid I don’t have any advice to expand on that, but Ican at least vouch that the information you’re following so far, while obviously incomplete, is not actually bad.
What kind of baby food are you using? Something meat-based, I hope.

Is he drinking, at least? Not eating is a serious issue, but dehydration is even worse. If you’re not sure, give him a very shallow soak for 30-40 minutes a day in a 50/50 mixture of warm water and pediatric elctrolyte fluid. It won’t magically save him, but it will keep dehydration out of the equation, at least, so maybe he’ll be able to get better faster than he gets worse. Did you try that Kingsnake link I gave you on the "Miscellaneous" thread? Eve usually responds to collared lizard questions the same day they’re posted, and she’s rehabilitated a lot of very sick ones, so she mght have a suggestion for how better to get him to take nourishment. Like I said, a little time without food is recoverable-from, but, still... they’re a high-temperature fast-metaboism lizard, so any day that he doesn’t eat is still something to worry about.

Im sorry if my wordind or anything else is messed up only i dont know too much about computers. Would u be able to give me a phone number or an e-mail address to this person so i can ask questions and say what i have done so far. I have done his hole mouth with iodine for 2weeks and in the last 3days i have been hand feeding baby food oh and have give him a small taste of water. Now today i was told to put 2crickets in a tub in the fridge for a minute to stun them and i did and it did stun them but as soon as i put them into the tank he started to what looked like fit bad but it didnt take him of his feet and as soon as i killed the crickets he stopped. I am now getting very worried. My e-mail address is .uk and my wifes e-mail address is . Just to let u know i live in Northern Ireland just in case the weather has a fector in it even tho he is always in his tank and the tempature is 80-85 during the day and 70-75 at night. thank yous all so so much for even reading and helping me.

Thank you for reading my message and replying to me i have tried to e-mail that person u told me about and can not find her on this site and a personal e-mail address what u give me is and it is coming up invalid e-mail address and it was asking for a user name would u be able to send me her details again and once again thank u i owe u so much for trying to help me.
