collared lizards are great pets. they are one of the most active lizards someone could have. i have a pair and they are always hangin from the top of my screen cage. you will enjoy one very much. the proper cage would be a 40 gallon for a pair and a 20 for a single. since they are desert dewlers you will need sand from a sand box, playground or get some that pet stores have for sale. they need climbing rocks and a water dish. plants arent necessary for thei enclousure.
