Laptop shopping help I would say to go for a Sony Vaio or a Mac. most other makes have alot of problems. and do yourself a favor and don’t even look at toshiba computers...they’re horrible! but if your looking for a half decent computer and your on a budget get a dell or a Vaio VGN-FS570 you can’t go wrong with a VGN :)

Laptop shopping help I hate to say this but it’s really hard to beat HP right now. You can pick up something anywhere from 400-2k dollars and really customize it to your needs. For a semi gaming notebook I"m picking up a 2.0 ghz intel duo core 2, 17" monitor, 100GB 7200rpm hard drive, 1 gig of ram notebook for around 1600 that’s cheaper than the dell insperon in the same class by about 400 bucks and approaches their xps gaming systems in performance. I’m running an HP right now that will cost about 400 if I were to buy it new and I’ve had it three years. Go check out their sight it’s pretty impressive I’ve found them very hard to beat.

Laptop shopping help I have a HP laptop - HP is an alright make. My favourite is Dell - prices for Dell laptops are usually fairly cheap and yet their still reliable.

Laptop shopping help Don’t listen to the SOny buyers way overpriced just because of there brand name garbage if u ask me, and Apple MAc’s ha! have you ever seen there software section in stores i’ve seen bigger displays of chili powder than displays of MAC software, here’s what you need, get yourself a Dell Inspiron or anything above that specs here we go:
CPU anything above 2.0 dont go too high, or you will eat up your battery faster
RAM 2.o GIG definetly needed for todays multitaskers
Hard drive 100 GB or more
VIdeo Card: NVidia 8000 series will play almost every High end graphic game there is and display high quality MOVies on DVD, and has DVI ports
Most dells come with 7 USB Ports which is a Godsend
Most dells come also with an internal wireless Card so dont need the external
get the 9 cell batt lasts longer
stay away from Toshibs, Gateway, HP is ok Good luck

Laptop shopping help Definetly not a Vaio, Sony has the worst computer brand out there. Go HP or Dell. Dell as much as I hate them, have no problems with their notebooks, and have a great buy and sell refurbished PC program. HP, make pretty solid PC’s for great prices.

Laptop shopping help Actually If you live in the U.S then Newegg following by Tigerdirect are your best bet. If you want just the mobility, browsing the web and light tasking then any descend laptop will do. As far as brand goes I think Dell are alright. Also if you’re a hardcore gamer then laptop is out of the question, because it cost considerably more than a gaming desktop with the the specs and plus there are NO Nvidia 8800 series for the laptop. I think the best card it have is the Nvidia 7950 GO mobility.

Laptop shopping help Go for an IBM. Not many people know IBM still makes alptops but they do and they are great. Never had a single problem with mine. The popular Brands have gone to hell in my opinion.
