 Cant get internet up...

not my computer, but im trying to help with my friend’s com. her internet went down, cant get it back. why?? i ask!!! mines fine. we are hooked up to the same router box. hers been having problems. it says shes unplugged, but its plugged in.

also, she has another computer, but the code is wrong, so that wont get internet.

my questions are....
1. what could be wrong with her computer (the one that went down)?

2. i know theres a way to find the right code for our internet server. when she bought the com used, the guy that sold to her has his own net service and we go thru someone else. so, this guy’s code is on the com he sold to her. how do we find the right code for our internet? it would be on my computer, but where???

does any of this make scense???

found the problem...cable was down!

and the other computer, the guy said he has to fix the code....
