Test
The Cabin Door takes place at the side of a road near a forest and night fall was minutes away. It was spring season and everything was damp and the earth was soft beneath her feet. The character of the story Sissy Bembridge is on her way to her sick mothers home. As she walks through the forest she could fell she was being followed by someone or something. Unwearyingly she had being followed by a large black bear. The tell us that the bear hopes the girl will pass away so he can eat her because it is spring time and sources of food are scarce. As the night grows darker it becomes cold and choosing the right paths become more difficult. As she worried about sleeping outside she saw a cabin roof in the distance. She got to the cabin and realized the cabin was unoccupied. She entered the cabin and found nothing but some bunks and a damaged wood stove. She was going to collect wood to make a small fire but the bear was outside and she panicked and slammed the door closed. The began to circle the cabin to find a point of entry, eventually the bear started pushing and scratching on the door. As she panicked the bear began to fiddle with the door latch and eventually. opened and she ran to close but tripped and startled the bear away. She rigged the latch and sat down. The bear returned again but more determined to come inside. It began to push and scratch at the door. It push the door hinges to braking point and the bear broke inside once again. She ignited a pile of dry spruce needles and the large flame scarred the bear off. She than ignited the front porch of the cabin to scare the bear off long enough. An old friend named Mike came and rescued her from the burning cabin.
