Hi all i just got a okeetee corn and could use some info

Hi,
i got a okeetee corn 3 days ago and he/she is about 4months old, i have him/her in a 10gal tank with 1 1/2" of sand on the bottom with 2" of mulch that has aspen in it. i got a rock look alike hide in the tank and a few rocks and 2 vines that go from all four corners so he/she has lots of sptos to climb. and a water bowl i didn’t buy a tank or a top as i had the tank and cleaned it really really well and made the screen frame and put really strong and thick metal screen in it and screwed it down on two hinges. there is like no gap at all maybe 1/8" gap at the one corner. so im not to worried about YODA getting out. the tank heat is between 73-83F as i don’t have a heating pad so all the heat comes from the 50watt light i have over the tank at the one end. Is this ok?

also i am going to see if i can get the pic to work so you can all se YODA.

YODA is about to shed i think, as yoda’s eye’s are all frosty and yoda isn’t moving very much. Is this normal? Yoda moved all over the tank when i first got him/her but after the first day yoda has just been hiding in the hide. is this normal?
also i have read a few posts here and heard that corns are nocternail (spelling) and read that a blue light is good for the snake. can i use a black light over the tank?
this is my first snake, but snakes have always been an intreast to me.

i will take a few pics of the tank and the top and of the biggest gap, and will post them tomorrow.

if anyone could give me any help or suggestions it would be great.

Hi all i just got a okeetee corn and could use some info

sand is a big no no it dehydrates the snake (spelling) and snakes like belly heat so they can digest there food and snakes hide during the day and come out as the sun is going down to get heat from the road and rocks

not sure but you shouldnt hold it and get a water tank big enough water bowl for it to get in so it an get wet and loosen its skin also mist water in to the warm side of the tank it helps with shedding dont hold it it makes the shedding process hurt

Hi all i just got a okeetee corn and could use some info

it might just be a brown normal i think....but u should not be holding him right now because 1)ur asking to get bit and 2)ur going to stress the poor guy out.his eyes r blue so obviouisly he’s gonna shed soon...and durring this shed cycle they have sometimes bad temperments and get stressed very easily because they cant see very well.
