I need a name? Re: To buy or not to buy?? 
Well I went to talk to my local snake breeder yesterday about the ’candy cane’ he had in his shop. For any one who didn’t read the ’the buy or not to buy’ post she has some bumps down her spine!How and why they are there? Who knows? Will they affect her quality or length of life? Who knows? All I know is after a long chat about her and his concerns about selling her as he could not guarantee her health he asked if I would be interested in re homing her?? So here are some pics of her, she is really small but I’m hoping that just down to being a bit underfed maybe. She has more bumps in her back than I had originally thought (closer to 15-16 possibly) but It doesn’t restrict her movement,eating,shedding or toilet habits. Any way I need help naming her so all your suggestions are welcome

how about slinky? and yes the bumps or kinks can cause problems but they dont always cause them. Do not breed her if she makes it that long. what may not bother her may kill any hatchlings..
good luck though she looks gorgeous

I did get her but I was given her by the pet shop owner/breeder to ’re-home’ as he really didn’t want to sell her because he didn’t know what was wrong with her. But in the end yes I brought her home :-). And she is so inquisitive, I know you should give them about 3 days total peace to get used to there new home and get there stress levels down but when ever any one walks in the room she poke;s her head out and then comes up to the glass or she is up on her branch just chillin not like my blizzard that I still rarely see!! So tonight I thought I would try to feed her and boy did I get a shock, she launched herself at that pinkie like bullet bullet getting fired from a gun. I wasn’t ready for her and no where near her but she was hungry and knew what she wanted. So from what I have seen so far her bumps don’t stop her from doing anything, I almost feel like she tricked me into bring her home with a false limp or something and now she’s laughing at me lol!!

Hey my snakes already named Slinky! There can’t be two Slinky’s on here! lol, I think Angel is a nice name, because the marking on her head kind of looks like an angel.

How about calling her "Chance" because you are giving her a second chance at a good home/life. A lot of breeders euthanize hatchlings with kinks like that.

i think you should come up with your own name for that one it may take a long time but it will pay off i named mine sid because sid just sounds like a snakes name and it took me 3 days

Thanks for all the suggestions and lovely comments about her. I’m still no closer to naming her although my wife wants to call her Oren (I hope that’s how it’s spelled, Oren was a character in ’Kill Bill’). I’m just calling her candy cane at the moment so I might just call he candy because she looks so sweet.
