 Behavioral Question

I know that corn snakes are supposed to be nocturnal or crepuscular, but how many of you have corns that are out during the day? I was wondering if, as they got older, they might feel less threatened and venture out of their hides more frequently during the day?
Reason I am asking is that I am considering switching housing of some of our snakes. It is easier to maintain the proper requirements of our Ball pythons in the tubs than a larger enclosure. And I have this custom I made, but it is in a high traffic area as well. So I am wondering if I should just leave the BP’s in there, since they are in their hides during the day anyways when there is the most traffic throughout the house. Or if it would be OK to put some of the corns in there, or a corn and a king.
I have some other options as well, but would like to have an arrangement that would allow for a more visible snake. Although I am not willing to risk the animals well being to achieve this.
Here’s the custom I was talking about. Let me know what you all think...

Also, as you can see, it does have a divider in it, so I would not be co-housing any snakes. Any advice would be appreciated.

 Behavioral Question

I have a blizzard that I rarely see regardless of weather its day or night. A striped that is out one day and hidden the next and a candy cane that is never out when you walk into the room but always appears within a few minutes. I would think its like you said on your post that depends on the snake and confident or comfortable they feel. Sorry I cant be of any more help.

 Behavioral Question

My Amel is out all of the time now. Except for a day after eating. I suggest just leave it the way it is.

 Behavioral Question

Thanks you all. I think I will keep things the way they are for now. The determining factor will be how our 2 BP’s do on their next shed, which will be there first in their new home. Our female is in the process of shedding right now. Oddly enough, I’m not having any trouble keeping her humidity up. I just seems to be the males side that I am struggling with. And they are right next to each other! I have tried reconfiguring the water placement, adding moss, but to no avail. So I am misting the cage 3 to 4 times a day. A labor of love the way I look at it. But if it is going to be a problem, I might consider the move. My Prairie king is out during the day, but she goes under the aspen if someone comes in the room. So again, I would be concerned as to her stress levels.
Just have to wait and see how the sheds go I suppose.
Thanks again.
