 Thinking about getting a corn snake

I’m thinking about getting a corn snake but i have a few questions first. do they have good tempers; can you hold them? what sized tank do they need? are they easy to care for? are they relatively inexpensive to care for? how big do they get? do they need any special lighting, or just a heat pad? i would like to know because i have wanted to get one for a really long time and want to know more about them?
